Whimsie dolls were made by the American Character Doll Company in the
1960's. These dolls were a stuffed body doll with a vinyl head. There is a
pattern for clothing for them in Sewing for 20th Century Dolls , Vol. 2
written by Johana Gast Anderton. This book was published by Hobby
House in 1998 but unfortunately, we have recently put this title out of
print and will not be re-stocking. You may be able to secure a copy from
another larger bookseller. The ISBN number is 0-87588-514-4. Helen
